Minnesota National Bank Vice President and Senior Real Estate Lender Mike Traeger is a proud member of the Sauk Centre Rotary Club. Mike serves as the coordinator of the STRIVE program. STRIVE stands for Students Taking Renewed Interest in the Value of Education. The program helps high school juniors by providing them a mentor who they meet with once a month over lunch. They work together on goal setting, improving time management and making school a top priority.  The main impact of the program is that each student sees another person on their side to help them reach their full potential.  A very high percentage of the students reach their goals, some students have improved their grades from C’s to all A’s within the school year.

The Sauk Centre Rotary program also works on funding for our local parks, the warm hands and hats program, and finding host families for foreign exchange students. Another large project is the Polar Plunge, which benefits Special Olympics. Mike is pictured with fellow Rotarian Chris Johnson and the Polar Plunge mascot at least year’s event.

The Sauk Centre Rotary Club is always looking for new members. They meet each Tuesday at noon. Contact Mike (Mike.Traeger@mn-bank.com) for more information.
